750w2 Portable Suspended Solids Monitor

Do you know what’s in your water?

Our 740 Portable has been hugely popular with 2018 seeing record shipments, building on the 1000’s deployed since it was introduced in 2004. We are happy to introduce the New 750w² Suspended Solids Monitor.

The new handheld water quality monitor is a simple, robust and accurate tool for measuring a full set of water quality parameters with a single unit. The 750w² has been designed to expand on the parameters by allowing a suite of interchangeable water quality sensors to be connected via military grade cable connectors, initially covering Suspended Solids measurements from intake to discharge via the all important activated sludge process.

The rugged unit has a built in data recorder for storing a minimum of 500 data points.

The simple to use interface, multiple sensor options and field ready design makes the new monitor the market leader for on site monitoring of TSS, Turbidity and Sludge Level.

SoliTechw2 IR Sensors

Partech’s range of SoliTechw² IR infrared sensors can be used for the measurement of suspended solids, sludge density, and turbidity in a wide range of applications, which includes Mixed Liquor (MLSS), Total Suspended Solids (TSS) and Sludge Blanket Detection.

The sensor has been designed as a robust and accurate method of portable detection. The machined housing provides excellent resistance to impact, temperature and chemical attack and the only maintenance required is periodic cleaning of the optical surfaces.

The SoliTechw² IR sensors are connected to the 750w² Portable unit via a high quality IP68 connector. The sensors are interchangeable, allowing a customer to use the same 750w² portable unit at different locations with different sensors.

The SoliTechw² IR Sensors come in 4 different ranges to maximise accuracy over a diverse range of applications. The 750w² and SoliTechw² IR combination make this the most flexible Suspended Solids, Turbidity and Sludge Density portable product range available on the market.

RDOX Portable Optical Dissolved Oxygen Sensor

This portable rugged dissolved oxygen (RDO) probe uses the latest and most trusted dissolved oxygen (DO) optical technology for measuring DO and temperature in demanding wastewater and drinking water process environments.

Use the In-Situ Wireless TROLL Com (sold separately) for connecting to a Bluetooth-enabled mobile device and the VuSitu® mobile app to view live readings, set up logs, take site photos, and share data via email or cloud storage.

The RDOX portable DO sensor incorporates In-Situ’s latest RDO core technology renowned for its reliability, accuracy and durability. Setup is easy and automated. Calibration coefficients are loaded into the sensor cap.

SludgeWatch 715 Sludge Blanket Detector

Sludge Blanket Detection Made Easy

The SludgeWatch 715 provides a simple, low cost method of spot checking the sludge blanket level in a wide variety of settlement tanks. The cable reel design removes the need for any additional carrying bag.

The sludge blanket is detected by winding the sensor down into the tank, the audible tone will change and the LED illuminates once the sensor has reached the blanket.

This method of sludge blanket detection offer major improvements over traditional SludgeJudge type systems in terms of both repeatability and importantly health and safety – no more manhandling 4 metre tubes full of contaminated wastewater.

Overview

Reliable detection of the sludge interface is necessary to allow operators to de-sludge tanks at the right time. Emptying the tank too often is inefficient in terms of manpower and can have knock on effects on the operation of other parts of the sludge treatment system. Equally allowing the tank to have too much sludge can cause carry over to the next process stage or into the local watercourse. Neither scenario is desirable, and the 715 will provide a quick and easy check on the interface position without relying on operator judgement.

The SludgeWatch 715 uses a range of infrared sensors to make the sludge interface detection. Infrared attenuation has been selected as it is ideally suited to detecting the sludge present in the interface zone. This tends to be considerably ‘thinner’ than the sludge that is present at the bottom of a settlement tank.
